Drowning in basil

Help - I am drowning in basil, cilantro, mint and parsley and don’t know what to do with all the fresh herbs that I am growing in my garden. Does anyone have a suggestion. I cut the plants back but the herbs go bad before I can use them all?

Corn

My daughter likes eating corn off the cob, one kernel at a time. Is it best to remove the kernels before cooking or after?

Also, does anyone have any good techniques for getting those little nuggets off it’s husk? I use a sharp knife, run down the side of the corn.

Cooking on a budget

Prices in the supermarket keep going up and up. It’s getting harder to cook a decent meal for my family at a reasonable price. Can anyone suggest some reasonable recipes that won’t break the bank?

Healthy Eating

My wife and I are looking to eat healthier. Does anybody have any suggestions for a healthy meal plan. We like to cook (she’s better then I am, but I get home from work first in the evening). Too often we have been eating out, getting carry out or prepared foods from the supermarket. It’s starting to show on my waistline.

Christmas Dinner

This year I am cooking Christmas dinner. Does anybody have any suggestions for a delicious meal? I am a pretty good cook, but rarely have time to cook a full meal. In the past we have always gone to my sister-in-laws house for Christmas. Her turkey is always as dry as her sense of humor. I want to set a new tradition in our home so I want to make sure everyone loves it.

Cooking for a diabetic

I want to ask for some help. I need some quick and very easy recipes for diabetics that I can use for my mother as she does not seem to have much of an appetite lately and is constantly complaining about the food tasting like sawdust. I really can do with some help in this department.

Is the lamb OK?

Hi everyone. I bought some lamb shanks Sunday. Today is Wednesday. I took them out of the refrigerator and they smelled pretty gruesome. I am sure they are OK but I could be forgiven for throwing them out.

Rapini

I have heard farmers say the best way to cook rapini is to fry it quickly in some olive oil without blanching first.

I was searching for recipes on the web, and every one insisted that the rapini has to be blanched before it is fried.
