French onion soup

I like this soup, and particularly the onions because when they are cooked in the butter they are fondant and sweet. My mother made this recipe when I was younger but not very often because my sister …

Fish stock is a simple and quick preparation that is the foundation for many great soups. It can be used fresh, stored in the refrigerator for two days, or frozen for up to six months. I like to …

There is nothing more comforting than a bowl of warm tomato soup and a finger of a good grilled cheese to dunk in it. This is a homemade classic menu the whole family will fall in love with. Prep …

Many moons ago, my husband and I ate at the same Thai restaurant week after week. I was inspired to create an easy Thai dish my kids could help me with, and one they like to eat.

Satisfying Burp Feast

The japanese miso paste is my new wonder drug for gastric problems. Rather than pop histamine antagonists to counter flatulence and gastric wall inflammation, its so much tastier to down a big hot …

Melon soup

Hey, I it’s honeydew season here in Los Angeles, and I was thinking of making some nice cold melon soup. You know, melon, mint, lime. Does anyone have a good recipe for me? How long will such a soup keep? Can I freeze it? Speaking of freezing it, this seems like a natural base for sorbet. Has anyone tried making a melon sorbet from soup? Would I just add some sugar? The melon is so sweet it might not need it.
