Turkey (amount to buy)

Still don’t know how much Turkey is enough?
A general guideline is to allow ¾ to 1 pound of uncooked turkey (of course you will cook it before you serve it to your guest) per person (based on a turkey weighing 12 pounds or less) for moderate leftovers, and 1 ¼ to 1 ½ pounds per person for generous leftovers. Larger birds (over 12 pounds) have a better meat to bone ratio, so ¾ pound will still yield leftovers.
