Yogurt Cake

A very yummy cake from the heart of South Africa.

Cake

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup caster sugar
  • ¾ cup oil
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 ½ cup self rising flour
  • ½ teas baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • Icing

  • 1 ½ cup icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • mixing bowl for cake
  • ringpan
  • testpin
  • mixing bowl for icing
  • spatula
  • Cake

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Mix all ingredients well together, bake in greased
    ringpan for 50 min by 325°F or till testpen comes out
    clean.
  • Icing

  • Add water drop by drop to get a thick but not to runny
    icing. Spread over cake when completely cool. Decorate
    with cherries or strawberries or what you fancy.
