Jamie’s pita pizza

This recipe belongs to Jamie Estes. I am simply the messenger! She is a wonderful cook. So, I am sure this recipe is fabulous! It is, by the way, a mommy and me recipe.

  • 4 small pita breads
  • Soft margarine
  • 4 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 slices of turkey, salami, or ham strips
  • Oregano
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Cooking sheet
  • Preheat broiler
  • Spread a little margarine over one side of each pita bread. Spread 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce on top of each.
  • Divide chopped tomatoes among pitas. Sprinkle with oregano. Arrange strips of meat on top. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Place under hot broiler 3 to 5 minutes until heated through and the cheese has melted.
  • Serves 4
