Banana margarita with a salted rim garnished with a banana slice, displayed with fresh limes and a cocktail shaker in the background.

This is another exciting variation of the simple margarita. I call for Lena which is a banana flavoured liqueur. There are other banana liqueurs on the market which you can use as well.

Ready

  • 1 oz of Lena (Banana) flavoured liqueur
  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 1 ½ oz Fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup (or to taste)
  • Pieces of fruit to match liqueur for garnish
  • Salt and extra lime juice for rim
  • Cracked ice

    • Set

  • Margarita glass (12 oz)
  • Cocktail shaker

    • Go!

  • Place salt on shallow plate.
  • Wet rim of glass with extra lime juice.
  • Invert glass into salt on plate and swirl to coat rim.
  • Blend ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  • Shake and pour into salt rimed glass.
  • Garnish with a slice of banana.
  • Serve.
