Calvados Apples

This is a great side to serve over ice cream or spiced cakes such as gingerbread.

  • 8 Medium apples
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Calvados (apple brandy)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • pinch of salt
  • Large Saute pan
  • Dish for serving
  • Peel and core apples.
  • Melt butter in sauté pan.
  • Add sugar, calvados, lemon juice and salt.
  • Add apples and cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are just soft.
  • Remove from heat and serve.
