Easy Peasy Apple Crumble

Golden-brown crumble dessert in a white ceramic dish on a granite countertop with a knife and kitchen utensils in the background.

I hate apple crumble. I really do. But this apple crumble is different. Its sweet, soft, crumbly and gooey, and it’s so easy to make! I’m eleven years old and I made it by myself at school, with no help needed whatsoever! (Everybody else in my class made it too, and that’s saying something! ;-))

So PLEASE make this! You won’t regret it!

  • 2 baking apples OR 3 normal apples
  • 75g sugar
  • 100g plain flour
  • 50g margarine OR 50g butter
  • Mixing bowl
  • Sharp knife
  • Peeler (You can use a knife if you wish)
  • Ovenproof dish (any will do)
  • Palette knife (any other kind of knife will do)
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Peel the apples and cut them into bite-sized squares
  • Place chopped apples into an ovenproof dish, and sprinkle 50g of sugar on them (make sure it’s only 50g)
  • Put margarine/butter and flour into a mixing bowl. Use the palette knife (or any other kind of knife) to slice through the butter/margarine. This makes the mixture easier to handle.
  • Rub mixture with fingertips for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Remember, do not rub too hard, or the mixture will stick together.
  • Stir in the remaining 25g sugar to the mixture with your hands (you may use a spoon if you wish)
  • Pour the mixture over the apple in the oven proof dish
  • Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes until the crumble is golden.
  • EAT!!!!!!
