Harvey Wallbanger

Refreshing orange and red cocktail garnished with orange slice and cherry, served on wooden table with cutting board and half orange.

Rumor has it that this cocktail is named after a drunken surfer circa 1950 who after wiping out of the big surf competition, drowned his sorrows with in this screwdriver with the addition of Galliano liqueur. He got so “wasted” that he was banging into the walls looking for the door.

I have an alternate theory. This drink is dedicated to all those hardworking parents who turn to this cocktail the moment kids are down. It keeps them from putting their head through the wall.

  • Slice of orange and cherry for garnish
