Mandarin and Honey Caipirinha

Mandarin orange cocktail in a glass with crushed ice, garnished with a mandarin slice, surrounded by a shaker, honey jar, and canned oranges.

This is a great fruity, summer drink with a Brazilian flair of Cachaça.

  • 2 ½ oz Cachaça
  • 7 canned mandarin orange slices (extra for garnish)
  • 1 Tbsp superfine or simple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp honey (I use orange blossom honey)
  • Ice, cubed
  • Rocks glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddle oranges, honey and sugar in cocktail shaker.
  • Add cachaça and ice.
  • Shake vigorously and pour into rocks glass.
  • Garnish with mandarin orange slice.
  • Cachaça is a Brazilian liquor that is fermented and distilled directly from sugar cane not from molasses like most rums.
