Meyer Lemon Gin Fizz

A frothy lemon cocktail garnished with a lemon slice, with a shaker, lemon, and lime on a granite countertop in a kitchen setting.

This is a really nice varaition of the Silver Gin Fizz recipe which you can make anytime Meyer lemons are in season. This is a naturally smoother than the standard version as the Meyer lemon blends well the gin to create a distinctive cocktail that will appeal to just about any palate.

  • Juice of ½ a lime (optional) (aprox 1 oz)
  • ½ tablespoon sugar (or less, to taste)
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 oz gin
  • Chilled soda water
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fizz or highball glass
  • Ice
  • Add juice, sugar, egg and gin and ice to cocktail shaker.

  • Then shake it some more.
  • Don’t stop shaking yet.
  • If you are using pasteurized egg whites, keep shaking.
