I can still remember as a child waking up to the aroma of toast fried to a crisp in butter. A generous sprinkle of sugar and a good dusting of cinnamon completed it. Sweet and crunchy, my siblings and I would gobble slice after slice. My mom used to make this yummy, rather decadent breakfast for me and now I serve up the same to my 4-year old. It is truly the most simple and easy recipe and it always gets rave reviews.
Change up this recipe slightly by using powdered sugar or a flavored sugar like vanilla.
