I was a long time (28 years)”High Tech” geek working in the semiconductor industry in Seattle. That “job” combined with the rain almost drove me mad. But a love of GREAT Red Wine and culinary delights saved me!

I have moved back to my home town of Santa Barbara and am active in several aspects of the Wine business.

My Santa Barbara County Wine Tour Company called La Vina takes most of my time now. I take small parties (2-6) on “Over-the-top” Wine Tours to all but main stream Wineries. I serve a truly “Gourmet” lunch mid-tour paying extra detail to cheese selection, exotic salads and food/wine pairing. But why stop there ???…..

I help a small Wine Distributor from Paso Robles do Restaurant & Retail sales for 15 or so boutique wineries from the central coast.

I’ve also started a humanitarian wine effort called “Big Love” for a Vineyard Owner/Winery Owner that passed away in the Santa Ynez Valley not long ago. We are tending his Sangiovese Vineyards and will be making wine in the fall in honor of him at my new small production wine label called Espavo. More details to follow.
