Cafe Du Monde is a culinary must if you ever find yourself in New Orleans in the French Quarter. You have to order the iced coffee and the beignets (donuts) on a plate of powdered sugar! The entire place is covered in the sugar, including the floor and the chairs. But when you take one bite, you understand what all the fuss is about. Delicious, not too sweet. It will not disappoint…
This is always a great starting point on the square for so many adventures and festivals. One of the most memorable experiences was in front of this landmark. I had gone to Jazzfest and had run out of money. So, I joined the street performers joking and juggling socks. It paid off and I made enough money to buy coffee and beignets (along with some extra to listen to music that night). Nothing like tasting the great “perks” of success.
