Thank you, ye Great Grub chefs of the Internet. I was very troubled yesterday in NE Ohio while preparing Julia’s Boef Bourguignon and there were no wee white onions available @ market!! After googling in panic, I instead bought the bigger white onions as you advised so as NOT to substitute. I wholesomely agree! When a recipe calls for white onions..use white onions despite the size!!! The dish was indeed delish! Thank you, thank you!
