Apple Slice

My mum use to make this a lot and everyone loved it now that I have the recipe when ever I make it its gone in 5 minutes.
There is no sugar in it and even though it has sour cream in it its still really sweet.
I love this apple slice so thought I would share it.
Ready
Base
- 1 Packet vanilla cake mix (home brand)
- 1 Cup of coconut
- ½ a cup of melted butter
Top
- 400g tin of pie apple
- Small carton of sour cream (roughly 300g)
- 1 Egg
- Nutmeg
Set
- Slice tin or baking dish
Go
Base
- Mix cake mix with coconut and melted butter.
- Press into slice tin or baking dish.
- Cook in a moderate 350°F for 10 minuets
Top
- Mix sour cream and egg together
- Then add the tin of pie apple
- Mix the apple through the sour cream and egg
- Pour over base
- Sprinkle with nutmeg
- Bake in oven for 20 minutes
- let slice cool
- when slice is cold you can then cut it

Kristie- This recipe sounds delicious. You call for a tin of pie apple? Is this the same as stewed apples? If so I am going to stew up some fresh apples that I have.
