How hard can it really be to make a decent burger? Apparently, judging by the dreadful examples I have eaten across several continents, extraordinarily difficult.

Some restaurants buck the trend and get it just right. One such place is Literati II. I count their burger as among the finest I have eaten in LA. The bun is right, the lettuce is crisp and fresh and the caramelized red onion tops it off beautifully.
