Crazy Restaurant Stuff
For almost 2 decades I travelled documenting and filming authentic cuisines all over the world. By authentic foods, I refer to the pure forms of each respective countries cuisine, before fusion and simplification. It is my job to capture the purest essence of the cuisine in question - the very essence that clearly distinguishes Chinese food from Thai, or Vietnamese - French from French Country - Spanish from Mexican.
5 years ago, I decided to take a break from the traveling, and opened a Mediterranean Restaurant in a very affluent suburb. It was a spur of the moment decision (so it started out crazy) - and proceeded to degenerate into absolute absurdity.
The reasoning behind the choice of location was primarily based on the assumption that clientelle were upper-class, cultured, ethical people - more absurdity!!!
This is not to say that the venture was not a resounding success - it is more of an absolute eye-opener to the way in which people behave, how certain situations can simply spiral out of control, and a few just plain funny and stupid stories.
So, over the next couple of weeks I will pass on some of these amazing happenings to you all, and hopefully some of you can add some of your own amazing restaurant happenings. They don’t even have to be from your own restaurant - any place will do!!!
Cheers for now, Chef T
