Anyone got a good burger bun recipe? It is often suggested the key to a good burger is in the bun. I wanted to put this to the test.

I like a nice crusty kaiser roll for hamburgers. It seems only fitting for a hamburger. The roll seems to hold up to hamburger juices without disintegrating. I have a couple of recipes that I haven’t made in a while, and I am trying them out now to see which is the best. I will post the results in a couple of days.

I don’t have a recipe, but here’s a thought. I made burgers for my nine year-old twins last week using traditional buns. Unfortunately their mouths weren’t big enough to get round the whole thing. They asked me why I didn’t use thick slices of bread, lightly toasted, instead. I didn’t have an answer.
I have been thinking that next time I may bake Lotus Gal’s bread, and use a couple of slices of that for my burgers. I am sure it would work well.
