I am the guilty cook, but in my defense I will have you know that there was not a bite left. Also for the kids I made my Three Cheese Macaroni & Cheese.

I wanted to keep the birthday party simple. A teenager from up the block came and played guitar and sang his self styled indi-rock and a good time was had by all. My only disappointment was the lack of leftovers.

Who ever heard of a blue moon rocket salad at a five-year old’s birthday party.

I’ll tell you what… it went down a treat with the adults while the kids munched on pigs in blankets. Inspirational stuff.

Hey Leo, i was just checking out your attached website and I have to say your Cafe in the Park sounds delightful. I salute your commitment to sourcing local and credit you for using grass fed beef — it really does taste better.

Happy Independence Day to those of you who celebrate the holiday.

Leo brought round some beef skirt for lunch yesterday. Together with David, we made up some chimichurri sauce and gorged ourselves. Looovely.

Killing time before an appointment for which I was early, I stopped in a bakery. I asked for one cookie and the proprietor gave it to me for free. That little gesture made my day. The cookie was pretty darn good too.
