Mandarin and Honey Caipirinha

This is a great fruity, summer drink with a Brazilian flair of Cachaça.


  • 2 ½ oz Cachaça
  • 7 canned mandarin orange slices (extra for garnish)
  • 1 Tbsp superfine or simple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp honey (I use orange blossom honey)
  • Ice, cubed


  • Rocks glass
  • Cocktail shaker


  1. Muddle oranges, honey and sugar in cocktail shaker.
  2. Add cachaça and ice.
  3. Shake vigorously and pour into rocks glass.
  4. Garnish with mandarin orange slice.

What you should know

Cachaça is a Brazilian liquor that is fermented and distilled directly from sugar cane not from molasses like most rums.
