Salsa verde

This is a very basic salsa that can be used on just about anything. As a child I don’t think I ever went a day without seeing this salsa used in at least one meal. Whether it was mixed with scrambled eggs, baked with some type of meat or just served on the side as a condiment it was always there.
I usually like to use it for making enchiladas and migas.
Ready
- 1 or 2 Serrano or Jalapeno chilis
- 1 clove of garlic
- ½ bunch of cilantro
- 10 medium size tomatillos
- Pinch of salt
Set
- Blender
- Knife
Go
- Wash and peel the tomatillos.
- Cut the tomatillos in half for easier blending.
- Put all ingredients in blender and blend.
- Taste and add more salt if needed.
What you should know
You can use the salsa right out of the blender or you can fry it in a pan with some olive oil for a different flavor. Use salsa over any meat, eggs or just for dipping.
