I hate apple crumble. I really do. But this apple crumble is different. Its sweet, soft, crumbly and gooey, and it’s so easy to make! I’m eleven years old and I made it by myself at school, with no help needed whatsoever! (Everybody else in my class made it too, and that’s saying something! ;-)) So PLEASE make this! You won’t regret it!
Ready
- 2 baking apples OR 3 normal apples
- 75g sugar
- 100g plain flour
- 50g margarine OR 50g butter
Set
- Mixing bowl
- Sharp knife
- Peeler (You can use a knife if you wish)
- Ovenproof dish (any will do)
- Palette knife (any other kind of knife will do)
Go
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Peel the apples and cut them into bite-sized squares
- Place chopped apples into an ovenproof dish, and sprinkle 50g of sugar on them (make sure it’s only 50g)
- Put margarine/butter and flour into a mixing bowl. Use the palette knife (or any other kind of knife) to slice through the butter/margarine. This makes the mixture easier to handle.
- Rub mixture with fingertips for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Remember, do not rub too hard, or the mixture will stick together.
- Stir in the remaining 25g sugar to the mixture with your hands (you may use a spoon if you wish)
- Pour the mixture over the apple in the oven proof dish
- Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes until the crumble is golden.
- EAT!!!!!!
