Fancy toast

I sometimes get a craving for an English breakfast (egg, bacon, sausage, tomato and beans) on cheap, sliced white bread toasted. The problem is, I use a couple of slices of bread and then I have the rest of the loaf for which to find uses (it’s not as if I would eat it with good cheese).
Here is a really good way of making something sophisticated from something… well… unsophisticated.
Ready
- Slice of white bread
- Olive oil
Set
- Toaster
Go
- Toast the bread until it is a little less than fully golden.
- Remove the crusts.
- Carefully slice horizontally through the toast to leave two slices, toasted on one side and fluffy on the other.
- Place your slices fluffy side up on a baking tray and drizzle some olive oil over them.
- Place in an oven at 350°F until the slices curl and crisp.
- Use with dips, cheese, soups or anything that requires this sort of thing!
