Self-Rising Flour Subsititute

If a recipe calls for self-rising flour but you only have the old-fashioned standard issue flour, don’t fret. You can make your own. It’s simple.

  • For each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  • Mix together.

In fact it’s so simple you may think twice before paying extra for self-rising flour.
