Easter Menus

For many, Easter is about so much more than bunnies and candy. It is a time of renewal, a religious festival and a time when the family comes together, invariably round the dining-room table. Here are menu options to guide you to the perfect Easter meal.

If your family has a different menu tradition, then by all means please share it in the comments below.

Spicy Peach Glazed Baked Ham

A good alternative to the roast poatoes would either be a Jacket sweet potato or, in honor of the Jewish carpenter, Potato latkes.

Another Lamb Menu

Although Ham has always been the tradition in my family, I’m going to try this Lamb menu this year. It looks delicious.

Menu Mesquite Grilled Middle Eastern Lavender Lamb, Creamy mashed potatoes, Fresh Roasted Beet, Mint Salad.

And for dessert Down on the farm apple pie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Ham & Beans with a Rhubarb ending

Here’s a menu that will keep the whole family at the table celebrating the joys of Spring.

Menu Spicy Peach Glazed Baked Ham , Flavorful Baked Beans, Shocked Broc!, Creamy mashed potatoes and for dessert Grandma’s Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie and White Trash Toffee for good measure.

Leg of Lamb

Leg of lamb is one of my favorite dishes to make for family gatherings. It is delicious, relatively easy to make and feeds ten to fifteen people. I love the Balsamic Glaze for Lamb, but you can substitute your favorite glaze and truth be told - salt and pepper will be really good too.

Menu Roast Leg of Lamb, Steamed Rapini or Steamed Broccoli, Pomegranate couscous salad, and Chocolate mousse for dessert.

Lamb with Port

Here is a simple and delicious lamb recipe for a small family gathering.

Menu Rack of lamb with port, Oven steamed vegetables, Armenian Beet Salad, Mum’s roast potatoes with the decadent and divine Molten Chocolate Cakes with Kirsch Sauce for dessert.

If you have a rotisserie consider Rotisserie lamb pops as a delicious alternative
