Fresh mint tea

After a good meal, I enjoy a simple cup of fresh mint tea. You simply can’t get the flavour nor, I suspect, the benefits from a peppermint teabag. And this is just as simple to prepare.
Mint has been used throughout time as a medicinal herb to treat stomach aches and to aid digestion. I give it to David after spicy food. It ensures a quieter night, if you know what I mean.
Ready
- A handful of fresh mint (leaves and stalks)
Set
- Kettle
- Teapot (or mug)
Go
- Boil a kettle of water (filtered preferably).
- Heat a teapot.
- Add the mint and fill with boiled water.
- Steep for at least three minutes.
- Drink hot.
What you should know
Try it with a little honey for sweetness.
