Harvey Wallbanger

Rumor has it that this cocktail is named after a drunken surfer circa 1950 who after wiping out of the big surf competition, drowned his sorrows with in this screwdriver with the addition of Galliano liqueur. He got so “wasted” that he was banging into the walls looking for the door.
I have an alternate theory. This drink is dedicated to all those hardworking parents who turn to this cocktail the moment kids are down. It keeps them from putting their head through the wall.
Ready
- 1 ½ oz vodka
- 4 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
- ½ oz Galliano liqueur
- Ice cubes
- Slice of orange and cherry for garnish
Set
- High-ball glass (10 oz)
- Straw
Go
- Build vodka and orange juice over ice in glass.
- Float Galliano.
- Garnish with orange, cherry, and straw.
This is a great cocktail for parties. It is easy to make in a pitcher and the name is a terrific conversation starter.
