This is a great breakfast, brunch, lunch spot on the west side of LA. They make all the food and baked goods and sweets on the premises. Try the pain au chocolat, orange creme buns, various breads and butter cookies; order the daily soups, quiches and always delicious croque madame (ham/cheese w/a fried egg on top sandwich.) This is also a wonderful place to take the kids or to steal a coffee and pastry with a friend.

I tried Amandine’s banana chocolate pastry… It’s truly unique in terms of shape (triangular) and flavor (fresh slices of banana mixed with slices of toasted almonds and dark chocolate…all layered atop a super-fresh-out-of-the-oven, buttery puff pastry). Scrumptious-ness at its finest.

The banana chocolate almond danish is as good as it gets. Yummy!
