I am a huge fan of Peet’s Coffee. They are hands down the best coffee chain and, unlike others, they take their time and do the roasting right. Peet’s beans can be distinguished by their deep, rich and dark roasts.
All of the beans are worth considering but one of my favorites is the Aged Sumatra. It costs a little more but the flavor is as elegant as it is full. Their claim of “a very rich coffee with a slight hint of a tropical wood flavor, a concentrated dried fruit sweetness, herbal notes, and ample body” certainly rings true.
You can pick up some beans in a local shop if you are fortunate enough to live near one, or order by mail. I’ve done both and the beans are always fresh.
