East-West Apple Avocado Salsa

Talking to my brother-in-law in California, we were comparing notes about what was in season at the farmers markets on our respective coasts. The east coast is seeing the fall line-up: squashes, pumpkins, root vegetables, pears, and apples. The west coast always has an incredible variety of avocados. So this is a great marriage of foods from the opposite coasts.
Makes 2-½ cups
Ready
- 2 unpeeled apples, cored and diced
- ½ ripe avocado, peeled and diced
- 1 Tbsp diced spring onion, including whites
- 1 tsp fresh lime juice
- ½ tsp minced jalapeno pepper
- ¼ tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 tsp granulated sugar or to taste
- Dash pepper
Set
- Bowl
Go
- Combine and gently stir all ingredients in bowl.
- Let set for about 15 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
- Enjoy!
